Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Preamble mobile application (“the App”) provided by Baulin Technologies (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own lawful, personal, and educational use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the app store you obtained it from.

2. The content is a reference, not legal advice

Preamble reproduces the text of national constitutions and provides audio narration for educational purposes. While we take care to present the material accurately, the App is not an official government publication and is not legal advice. For authoritative text or legal guidance, consult the official gazette or a qualified legal professional. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government.

3. Free and paid features

Reading the full text of a constitution is always free, and Chapter One of every narrated constitution is free to listen to. Beyond that, the complete audio narration can be unlocked in two ways:

• Single country: a one-time in-app purchase (currently $5.99, localized by your app store) that unlocks the full narration of one country's constitution permanently.
• Preamble Premium: an auto-renewing subscription (currently $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year) that unlocks the full narration of every narrated country for as long as the subscription is active, including countries added later.

Prices are shown at checkout and localized by the App Store or Google Play.

4. Payment, renewal & refunds

All purchases are processed by the App Store or Google Play, depending on your device, and are subject to that store's payment terms. We never receive or store your card details.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours beforehand. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings or your Google Play subscriptions; cancelling stops future charges and keeps access until the end of the period you have paid for.

One-time unlocks grant immediate, permanent access to digital content. Refunds for either type are handled by the app store in line with its policy. You can recover past purchases on a new device using Restore Purchases in the App.

On iOS, your use of the App is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly broadcast the audio narration.
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or circumvent access controls on the audio.
• Reverse engineer or interfere with the App except as permitted by law.

6. Intellectual property

The Preamble name, app design, and audio narration are owned by Baulin Technologies. The underlying constitutional texts are public legal instruments. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the App or its narration to you.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baulin Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms as the App evolves. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
