Article 22 — Principle of universality
Everyone shall enjoy the rights, freedoms and guarantees enshrined in the Constitution and shall be subject to the duties established in the Constitution and the law.
Angolan citizens residing or finding themselves abroad shall enjoy the rights, freedoms and guarantees and the protection of the state and shall be subject to the duties established in the Constitution and the law.
Everyone shall have duties with regard to the family, society, the state and other legally recognised institutions, in particular: (a) To respect the rights, freedoms and property of others, morals, acceptable behaviour and the common good; (b) To respect and be considerate of others without discrimination of any kind and to maintain relations that promote, safeguard and reinforce mutual respect and tolerance.
